We are excited to introduce the VolksWagen App-Connect Android Auto function activation service to our offerings.
What is VolksWagen App-Connect Android Auto?
In the midst of technological advancements, we are presented with increasingly sophisticated solutions. Until recently, phone-to-car connectivity was primarily limited to calls and music playback. While these functions are undoubtedly useful, they represent just the tip of the technological iceberg. The culmination of this concept is the VolksWagen App-Connect Android Auto—a solution crafted by the manufacturer of popular phones specifically for drivers. With it, users can seamlessly utilize selected Android applications directly from the multimedia system in their car.
Who can benefit from VolksWagen App-Connect Android Auto?
Virtually anyone with a phone running Android 6.0 or newer can take advantage of this service. Yes! Even users with phones up to 10 years old can utilize this solution. In simplified terms: Do you have an Android phone? This solution is tailored for you!
The specific car model is less significant, as the multimedia systems supporting this function have been available in various Volkswagen models since 2016. However, not all users may have activated this feature upon purchasing their vehicle or may have opted out of this additional function. Our activation service targets owners of the “Discover Media” and “Discover Pro” navigation systems for whom App-Connect is supported but requires activation.
What are the benefits of Android Auto?
One of the standout features is the ability to launch alternative maps directly on the car’s multimedia screen, providing a viable alternative to VW navigation. This eliminates the need for additional phone holders to view maps on a separate screen, as everything is conveniently displayed on the built-in factory navigation.
Google Maps: Renowned for its quick map updates and real-time traffic predictions.
Waze: In addition to turn-by-turn navigation, it incorporates user-submitted travel times and route details while downloading location-dependent information over a cellular network.
Automapa: A trusted Polish navigation solution known for its extensive coverage and frequent updates.
Tomtom Go: A globally recognized navigation brand offering offline maps, traffic updates, and lane guidance.
Yanosik: More than just navigation, Yanosik provides real-time road information, including accidents, speed cameras, and police checks.
But navigation is just the beginning.
VolksWagen App-Connect Android Auto enables the use of music applications on the in-car screen. This allows users to access their entire music library from popular streaming services directly on the car’s screen, including Youtube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Audible.
Of course, basic communication functions remain available, but they have been slightly expanded. The Telephone function, along with access to the phone book, is available on the car’s screen. A new feature is the handling of messages from both SMS applications and messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Zoom directly from the car’s screen.
