Which Mazda Connect system do you have on your Mazda?
There are two Mazda Connect systems: Mazda Connect and Mazda Connect 2. Distinguishing between them is straightforward. If the main menu looks like this you have Mazda Connect first-generation system.
If it appears like this, you have Mazda Connect 2 (second generation)
The Mazda Connect first generation system is installed in the following vehicles:

Mazda 3 2014-2018
Mazda 6 2015-2024
Mazda Mx-5 2014-2024
Mazda Cx-3 2014-2024
Mazda Cx-5 2015-2024*
Mazda Cx-8 2017-2024*

While the Mazda Connect 2 is used in these models:

It’s important to note that in some markets in South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 vehicles come with the first-generation system. However, in European and North American markets, these same vehicles exclusively feature the second-generation system.
Mazda Connect first generation. You can change the region and language package by simply reprogramming the head unit with the firmware corresponding to the new region. For instance, if a car was originally imported from the domestic Japanese market to Europe, you would need to reflash Mazda Connect with European firmware.
