How to Locate the MIB Part Number

Luckily, there’s no need to physically disassemble your dashboard or remove any modules. Your infotainment system’s part number can be easily found within the system settings by following one of these methods:

Method 1: Using System Information

  • Navigate to: CAR → Setup → System information

  • Look for the field labeled Device part number

Method 2: Using the Software Version Menu

  • Press and hold the MENU button for about 3 seconds

  • Select Software update / versions

  • Find the section labeled Part number

Once you’ve located the part number, you can match it to the appropriate MIB version using the reference table below.

    As with the other buyers, the seller called to ensure compatibility; That was done quickly because I already knew what hardware I had installed in my RS and I was only missing the original Skoda SD card for the Amundsen navigation system. A few days after ordering, the letter was in my mailbox. I inserted the SD card today and the navigation system works without any problems; all relevant countries around Germany are included. Price/performance ratio better than the Skoda SD card itself.

    Was looking for a current Navi SD card for my 2014 Skoda Octavia 5E Combi. The data is available from the manufacturer free of charge, but it is too large for the 8GB SD card that comes with the device. And empty (automotive SD cards) are completely overpriced at Skoda. Then found this shop and just ordered it. Even if the description isn't very clear, the seller got in touch immediately by email and Whatsapp and asked a few important questions about the vehicle (note: English or French). But then you will definitely get the right and suitable card with the latest navigation data. Plugged in, works! Only the delivery from France unfortunately took a relatively long time. But that's the fault of the post office. Otherwise absolute recommendation!

    It passed the practical test with flying colours. The navigation system navigates as it should.
    At least my navi world seller had absolutely nothing to complain about. Quick delivery. The card appears to be an original Skoda part. At least the print quality of the label corresponds 1:1 to the original.

    I drive a Skoda Octavia 5E Combi. A 16GB memory card for the navigation system was factory installed.
    I regularly download the updates from the Internet and transfer them to my memory card. Unfortunately, with the new update there was the problem (I had already seen it coming with the updates before that..) that the 16GB memory was no longer sufficient.
    The Skoda website indicated a part number for a 32GB memory card. I found this memory card on navi world and ordered it without further ado.
    Now comes the (for me) unfamiliar part: After ordering, I had a message on navi world (and Whatsapp?!) from the seller, who asked me in friendly English what year my vehicle was made and what kind of navigation system was installed and whether I should have a Could send photo from device. The Whatsapp variant seemed somehow dubious to me and as a leap of faith I preferred to only write to the seller via the navi world channel and send him the required device picture! A short time later, the seller gave me the OK and assured me that the card would work with my vehicle.
    Long story short: the envelope arrived after a little over a week, the original Skoda card was in it, I first checked it on the PC to see what was on it and lo and behold: 32GB total memory and the brand new navigation software.
    I just tested the card in the vehicle and it works perfectly there too.
    I'm thrilled and especially that the seller takes the trouble to personally check the compatibility (and doesn't just sell you every sh...).

    Ich war erst etwas Skeptisch wegen der Nachfrage Fotos vom Navi zu schicken, aber ich habe die Richtige Karte mit dem aller Neuesten Kartenmaterial bekommen.
    Ich sage nur Danke, denn 299 Euro von Skoda sind unverschämt.
    Zumal die SD Karten benutzen die nicht der Normalfall sind.

    Ist schon das zweite Navi/KFZ dass ich mit Hilfe des Verkäufers auf den neuesten Stand gebracht habe.
    Kurz nach dem Kauf bekam ich jeweils eine WhatsApp und wir haben uns mit Bildern und Google problemlos verständigt.Innerhalb von wenigen Minuten waren alle Unklarheiten beseitigt und innerhalb von einer Woche war die SD Karte aus Frankreich auch schon hier. Navis laufen beide einwandfrei und haben aktuelles Kartenmaterial drauf. Jeweils ca. 1/3 vom Preis bezahlt den mir meine Fachwerkstätten (VW/Skoda) berechnen wollten.
    Bis zum nächsten Update... ;-)

    Weil ich bei Skoda keine 299 Euro ausgeben wollte, entschied ich mich für den Kauf dieser Karte. Etwas skeptisch war ich schon! Die Karte steckte ich einfach in den SD-Schlitz (Oktavia E5), machte das Navi an und sie wurde ohne Probleme akzeptiert. Man muss sonst nichts tun.
    Ich bin sehr zufrieden.

    I tried updating my V7 SD SATNAV card in my 2017 MK7.5 Golf, but managed to make a real hash of it. (didn't follow discovercare correctly). The version I was trying to install on the original SD from the VW website was V14. The version on the SD card I have received is V13, still good, but not quite up to date. A bonus is that all my "destinations" are still stored somewhere other than the SD card. By the way on our trip to the south of France in July, we used TomtomGo via carplay on the Golf Screen (iPhone 12). Worked brilliantly and as it is a subscription service so well up to date and current traffic conditions (turn the iPhone screen off after connecting to carplay otherwise it gets hot). VW quoted about £90 for an updated SD card by the way.

    I attempted to update my 2016 VW Golf SatNav over the internet using the VW official update site without success ( download, unzip etc.). I saw this on Amazon & thought I would give it a try. It arrived in a few days & worked immediately when slotted into the equipment in the glove box, after first removing the original SD card. Very Happy with it, I can now navigate through the new housing developments without getting hopelessly lost !!

    Zwar stimmt die inhaltliche Beschreibung nicht, da es sich nicht um die 32 GB SD-Karte handelt, aber viel wichtiger: der Verkäufer hat schon im Vorfeld durch Kontaktaufnahme geklärt, ob sein Produkt für meine Anlage passt und dann schnell und zuverlässig geliefert.
    Und bei mir läuft das Kartenmaterial problemlos.

    Ich habe diese Speicherkarte erworben im Glauben, sie wäre für mein Amundsen+ von 2013 geeignet. Diese Annahme war falsch.
    Der Anbieter hat mich hervorragend beraten und nach meiner Rücksendung der Ware einen passenden Ersatz zugesendet.
    Ich kann diesen Händler nur weiterempfehlen.
    Die korrekte Speicherkarte hat dann auch sehr gut funktioniert.

    Nach Rücksprache zu den technischen Datails des Fahrzeuges erfolgte eine schnelle Lieferung aus UK. Die SD-Karte wurde problemlos vom Fahrzeug (Kodiak mit System Amundsen) akzeptiert. Alle Europäischen Hauptstädte wurden problemlos gefunden. Den Rest wird die Praxis zeigen. Soweit erstmal Sehr gut.
