Fiat Toolbox will be terminated on December 31, 2023. Fiat customer support is not providing clear instructions on how to update navigation maps for the Fiat 124 after December 31, 2023. Currently, downloadable map data is the only option to obtain the latest update for 2023. We strongly recommend all Fiat 124 owners to check for updates in Fiat Toolbox and perform updates in December 2023.
SD Card – your SD card will be shipped to you via the DHL post / Netherlands post / DPD or other postal service . Once you receive the card, simply insert it into your vehicle to access the navigation.
Downloadable files are available and include the latest guaranteed map versions from Fiat Toolbox, along with three years of free updates. To make a purchase, a VIN is required. Installation is really easy. The SD card slot is hidden behind a little plastic cover next to the USB ports in the center console. If this has never been opened there will be a little white tab sticking out of it. (If there is not, you can use a flat blade screwdriver to gently pry it open.)
While the car is parked and OFF - just pull the tab to open the cover and then insert the SD card (label facing up, only goes in one way, don't force it) into the slot until it clicks into place, then replace the cover and start the car. Voila, navigation! Did a quick test trip and voice commands and directions all seem to work as expected. Fantastic!
