This Volkswagen retrofit is made for the VW layout where the main infotainment unit is in the glove compartment and the dashboard part is mainly the display. If your Golf, Passat, or Tiguan uses that setup (listed around 2014–2018), this is the correct type of CarPlay / Android Auto upgrade.
